End of an era – David Wade Retires June 30th

Retirement-artwork-final

As David Wade, one of Adelaide’s most respected advisers prepares to retire on June 30th we take this opportunity to celebrate his career, acknowledge his contribution and say thank you.

A Partner for over 15 years (several of those as Managing Partner), David has witnessed huge changes to the financial services industry and has been paramount in establishing the value system FinSec live and breathe today. He has seen Partners come and go, experienced (and survived) several full market cycles and throughout has remained a loyal member of the FinSec business – In particular to the integrity of advice it stands for. In his own words;
“ The one consistency that remains is the need for good financial advice whether it is short, medium or long term related. Establishing the correct structures from a tax, wealth creation, risk and estate planning perspective remains at its core”.

His clients (some of whom have been with him for over 20 years) will no doubt miss his red wine critiques, passion for the Geelong Football Club and the comings and goings of his moustache, however Adelaide being Adelaide we know paths will cross in the most unlikely of places.
In David’s endearing no-fuss style, he has chosen not to have a formal farewell function, however he does consider many of you great friends and has asked us to thank you for your humbling loyalty and wishes you all the best for the future.

For David, retirement promises to be anything but slow and we look forward (with envy) to hearing more of his planned adventures; trekking, travel and river cruising of his boat, Pedare. Retirement will surely offer many new opportunities and we know David will embrace them all whole-heartedly.

Forever a friend and defining part of FinSec we wish David, his wife Jenny and the newest addition, Barney the German shorthaired pointer, a wonderful onward journey in this the next chapter of their life – your straight talk, generosity, guidance and wisdom will stay with us for many years to come.
