Dr Roger Sexton is a leading investment banker and company director with extensive professional experience in the Asia Pacific region.

Roger has served as a Chief Executive of a number of large organisations in the finance, funds management and investment banking industries and has served on the Boards of a number of public companies and organisations in Australia and overseas.

After spending the first 14 years of his working career in high level public service roles for both the South Australian State Government and the Commonwealth Government of Australia, Roger transferred his focus to the private sector in 1985 holding Executive Director roles at Morgan Grenfell Australia Limited and then Beneficial Finance Corporation before founding the Beston Pacific Group in 1992.

Roger established the Beston Pacific Group as a boutique investment bank focusing on corporate advisory and structured finance transactions in the Asia Pacific region. Under Roger’s guidance, the Beston Pacific Group has founded a number of significant investment trusts including the Beston Wine Industry Trust which was at the time the largest owner of vineyards in Australia and New Zealand. The management of this Trust was subsequently sold to the Challenger Financial group in 1999. He also founded the Beston Parks Accommodation Trust, the largest owner/operator of caravan parks in Australia.

Roger holds the following Board appointments: Chairman of FinSec Partners, Deputy Chairman of IOOF Holdings Limited, Chairman of the Keylnvest Group and Director of IBISWorld. Roger’s previous Board appointments include: Chairman of the Venture Capital Board, Chairman of the Motor Accident Commission and Deputy Chairman of Korvest Limited.

Roger is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Senior Fellow of the Financial Institute of Australia.

Roger was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2011 Queens Birthday Honours.
